Miguel A. De Puy, M.D., is a Panama City, Panama native. He received his pre-medical education from the University of Panama.  He earned a Medical  Doctorate from University of Panama School of Medicine and completed an internship at Gorgas Hospital, U.S. Canal Zone. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Charity Hospital in New Orleans and a fellowship in Cardiology at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation and Tulane University in New Orleans.

Dr. De Puy is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases and is certified in pacemaker/defibrillator with NASPE exam. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the American Heart Association. Dr. De Puy is also a member of the Heart Rhythm Society and a past board member of several international societies of cardiology.
